Platforming or Vehicles?
Platforming or Vehicles?
In N&B, we were introduced to the use of vehicles. Which do you prefer? Did you like the classic platforming genre? Or do you prefer the vehicles?

Re: Platforming or Vehicles?
I personally think the game would have been better if it was platforming. For some reason, I can't see the Banjo-Kazooie series revolving around vehicles.
Re: Platforming or Vehicles?
I know that they wanted to try something new... but vehicles? Come on. It's like they ran out of ideas.

Yeah, I don't know why they changed it. At first, I thought it was hoax. In fact, I was hoping that it would be a hoax. I wanted to see awesome graphics along with an awesome new platformer. Guess that didn't happen.sbfc wrote:I personally preferred platforming.

It's apples to oranges, but I guess I'll say platforming.

Re: Platforming or Vehicles?
I'm all about the classic platforming from the originals on the N64. They were amazing, and very awesomely huge platforming games. And the array of moves that you had added to the diversity. From using Kazooie as a batering ram, flying for short distances, and that aerial pecking moveof his. Brilliant games.
The originals were brilliant, and though Nuts & Bolts was good to see the series back alive, it never caught the nostalgia of the original two game from the N64.

Re: Platforming or Vehicles?
Nuts & Bolts felt more like a typical spin-off that didn't contribute to the canon. I was hoping for a platformer, only bigger and better, and pictured how the game would be played, but I guess that didn't happen. I hope that if there's a new Banjo game, it will return to its platforming roots.
Re: Platforming or Vehicles?
I personally liked the platforming games of Banjo-Kazooie better than the Nuts & Bolts vehicle based gameplay, although I still liked it.

I really believe that the Banjo Kazooie franchise should go back to it's roots as platforming was popular and driving was not.
