Why has Conker been forgotten?

I've always wondered why Rareware has ignored this franchise. It was brilliant! We should be playing the fourth or fifth game of the series right now!

I don't think it has to do sales. How much did the first Conker game make? I'm pretty sure it's Rare's doing.

Rare said they would be happy to make one, but they need Microsoft to want them to make one.
